Thomas Stephens
Assistant Executive Director, Advocacy & Policy

Mr. Stephens has spent decades in the field of education, serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, superintendent, and professor. He served as school superintendent for a North Georgia school district for 19 years as well as serving as superintendent for a district in New Hampshire. His experience qualified him to teach at Truett McConnell college as an adjunct professor, and work as a school improvement specialist with the National Dropout Prevention Center.  Additionally, he  founded the Mountain Education Charter Evening High School which has successfully decreased the student dropout rate of districts throughout North Georgia.
